The goal is to introduce the participants to the basics of change management. The importance to communicate before the process has started, to identify and engage stakeholders early in the process. We could spend weeks teaching them about the ADKAR methodology or introduce them to Lean Sigma Six DMAIC. These are book skills that are best learnt if their job requires them.
A basic understanding of the grieving phases of a changing person (Denial, Resistance, Exploration and Commitment) will provide the fundementals required to implement basic change management.
We will describe the importance of identifying the purpose and the reasons for the change using the Purpose Grid. The participant will practice basic stakeholder analysis to understand how to communicate with various people based on a few simple criteria. I will introduce them to a modified version of the PLAN DO CHECK ACT tool.
