What is a DITLO - Day in the Life of ?
A DITLO describes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual activities of specific roles in a department/team. Each section in this document describes each activity, their objectives and deliverables and provides a link to any Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or Quick Reference Guides (QRGs).
I have been using and developing DITLOs for the last 10 years as a way of ensuring consistency across my teams, developing a tool for onboarding new team members and for use in developing and coaching the different roles within my departments. They are developed from our operational needs (meetings, reports, deliverables), operating procedures, business processes & systems, regulations and our perfomance measures.
