Performance management is more than an annual HR driven discussion with your workers.
Why is performance Management so difficult?
Do you have a good experience with performance management?
How do you manage team vs individual performance?
Our focus during our workshops and field coaching is to demonstrate that performance management is an ongoing effort. We will discuss the basic performance management cycle (Assign, Observe, Evaluate, Feedback), gap analysis and that one size fits all is impossible. We will identify leading and lagging indicators for different types of workplaces.
Are your processes mature enough to eliminate "waste" or non-value activities? Do you have a culture where a worker can offer ideas and openly express concerns about how business is being conducted. Are workers doing the same work across shifts and rotations measured equally with the same expectations? Do you investigate loss to process (production loss), equipment damage, are people held to account?
